ASTAT ("Asymmetrical Series-Twin Amplifier Topology") concept is a new way of thinking about amplification. Each Model 88 monoblock is made of two completely independent power amplifiers housed in one chassis and series connected at the output . ASTAT combines very carefully controlled - but slightly different - output transformers of our design which are connected in series.

Add a dual independent unique MPS matched power supply for each output tube and a totally new approach to sound reproduction will emerge. This amplifier concept allowed us to built an extremely reliable amplifier of relatively high "single ended power".
